History:
Co-founded in 2003 by Therese Bowler and Faye Murray, Renewal Retreat Inc began in Therese and Jim’s family home in Bayfield, Ontario. The intention was to create a space in which people could renew their spirits and be nurtured by nature, themselves and others. In no time, the response to workshops, and getaways took off, reinforcing what Faye and I believed from the start – that many people are looking for an environment in which they can slow down and feel reconnected.

Today:
Over the years, growth and transformation have taken place, with Renewal Retreat expanding to 7 acres of wooded heaven on the Maitland River, outside of Belgrave, Ontario. Renewal Retreat continues to be dedicated to individual and group education, inner wisdom, and living with purpose. Workshops, Retreats, Cottage rental, Spa weekends, and Private counseling continue to be offered at Renewal Retreat by Therese, while Faye runs her private practice from her home office near Brucefield, Ontario. As an educator for over 20 years in urban, rural and international settings, I have observed that all people, regardless of age or circumstances, are seeking meaning in their lives, in some form or another. My intention is to provide a healing space to honour the unique journey of each individual. Through private counseling sessions, retreats and workshops, I look forward to the empathic exploration of the sacred in ourselves, each other and our environment. I believe that each human being brings their own creativity and intelligence to this world, though many lose sight of that, and require support to become centred within themselves again. Through various communication methods (speaking, listening, writing, breathing and body work), I gladly offer you my support.
