Renewal Retreat – Rental Agreement
Guests agree to the following:
All fire and water safety precautions must be taken by all guests.
11 pm quiet outdoor time- respect for neighbours.
Indoor shower towels are provided; guests must bring their own hot tub/swim towels.

if everyone strips their own bed and takes one job each, it can be done in 10-15 mins…
Should there be any damage during your stay, we appreciate you letting us know,
so that we can remedy the issue before the next renters arrive. If necessary,
Damage costs are taken from the Security Deposit, and the remaining amount is returned.

Candles & Fire pit: completely out
If the retreat is not left in clean condition, a cleaning fee of $200 will be taken from the Security Deposit.
This has only been required twice in 12 years of operation.
- Strip your bed - used sheets/pillowcases and towels left in lower bathroom (not duvets or duvet covers, they remain on the beds)
- Kayaks and life jackets etc – returned to their places, paddle boards with fins facing up
- Grounds: clean of garbage, bottles, cans etc (as you found it). Please use ash trays provided.
- Fridge, Coffee Pot and all counters: Please empty and wipe clean
- BBQ Grill: cleaned and covered
- Garbage: Place your garbage in the clear bags provided in garbage bins at side of driveway. NO DARK BAGS ALLOWED - Our township will not pick them up.
- Separate Recyclables & Compost: Please use plastic bins on side porch
- Dishes: cleaned properly and put away
- Floors cleaned: broom & vacuum in closet (especially important for pet owners)
- A.C.- Turn off air conditioner and all lights.
- Doors: Lock all doors. Kitchen door locks from the inside. Leave key on kitchen counter.

Pet Agreement
Conditions for bringing a Pet
We believe pets are part of the family,
and know they would be missed or lonely if left behind when the family goes away.
For these reasons, we allow pets at Renewal Retreat, but with the following conditions, that must be met if you plan to bring your pet:
$25/night per pet $50/long weekend or $100/week per pet

During your stay:
1. All pets must be “house broken” if they are to be inside the retreat at all. Completely “litter trained” – no exceptions.
2. Absolutely no pets up on furniture (couches, chairs, beds etc).
3. “Stoop and Scoop” – absolutely no pet waste is to be left on the grounds. Bring your own stoop and scoop bags/unscented cat litter.
4. Pet safety: You accept full responsibility for the safety of your pet and the other guests. Bring a leash and supervise your pets at all times
5. Any damage caused by pets (or renters) is to be paid in full by the renter. Though we hope no damage occurs; if it does, please leave a note indicating the damage, so we can repair or replace it before the next guests arrive. We work on the honour system and ask that you do the same.
Please leave the appropriate amount of money for the damage, or the security deposit will be cashed.

2. A thorough walk around the property to remove any pet waste, you may have missed.

In general, before you depart, the retreat should look the way it looked when you arrived.
There should be no evidence that a pet was at the retreat.
We have chosen to take the risk of allowing pets, because we love our pets and trust that you feel the same about yours. We ensure that our pets do not damage anyone else’s property or hinder anyone else’s enjoyment; we expect the same from our guests.
With respect for you and your pets, we ask that if you cannot ensure that the above conditions will be met,
and that your pet will adapt well to the environment, please do not bring your pet to Renewal Retreat.

There should be no evidence that a pet was at the retreat.
We have chosen to take the risk of allowing pets, because we love our pets and trust that you feel the same about yours. We ensure that our pets do not damage anyone else’s property or hinder anyone else’s enjoyment; we expect the same from our guests.
With respect for you and your pets, we ask that if you cannot ensure that the above conditions will be met,
and that your pet will adapt well to the environment, please do not bring your pet to Renewal Retreat.
